At St. Mary the Virgin, Monkseaton, we aim to offer a welcome to all members of the community, to provide a still centre in a turbulent world, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ about abundant life. We have a variety of services, organisations, activities and events, the focus of which is our Sunday worship at 8 am, 10 am and 6 pm. In our 75th year we are celebrating our past and eagerly planning for our future.

We’d like to invite you to look in on us sometime, either at a church service, or at one of the many events and social activities that take place in our buildings. We hope you will feel that we’re here for you, even if you don’t much fancy the idea of religion! However, if you are after spiritual help or encouragement of any kind, you’ll certainly find a warm and sympathetic response.
