At St Mary's we believe in the priority of prayer and of Christian Study and offer a range of activities in this area.

We have two Bible Study groups one meeting on a Monday afternoon and one on a Tuesday evening.

Those who wish may receive Bible reading notes from the Bible Reading Fellowship.

We have seven Prayer Cells meeting regularly to pray for the world, for the church and for individual concerns. We are always pleased to receive prayer requests.

As well as 'Stepping Stones' (children's church) which meets during the main Sunday Service, there is also a discussion 'house' group for teenagers called 'Cogs' meeting on alternate Sunday nights.

Confirmation courses for both young people and adults are run each year. Anyone already confirmed is welcome to join the adult course as a 'refresher'.

An annual 'weekend away' to a monastery or a retreat house is an established part of our church life and serves to build the community of Christ in Whitley Bay.

For more details on all of these contact the church office 0191 251 4216 or visit our other pages.
