The Mothers’ Union

The Mothers’ Union is a worldwide organisation working to support and uphold marriage and family life within the Church of England and the community.  Membership is flexible and open to everyone [men and women] baptised as a Christian and supports our aims and objectives.

St Mary’s branch is the largest in the Newcastle Diocese and has two groups meeting regularly.

MU @ 2 meets on the third Tuesday afternoon in the month in church and hall.

MU@8 is a group of women who meet to share fellowship and prayer under the umbrella of, and pursuing the aims of the Mothers Union. We are open to new members, non members and non mothers. We usually meet at each others houses taking it in turn to host. Light refreshments and wine are offered.
